MEET OUR TEAM
Here you'll get to know the talented individuals who make up our team and lead SUMC with grace and dignity. We hope you can learn a little about them and their dedication to SUMC. We're proud to introduce you to just a few of the people behind our church's success.
Senior Pastor
Sara Pair
I am originally from Paragould and have served as pastor of SUMC since 2010. I graduated from Hendrix, and earned my Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School. I then went on to serve congregations in Dallas, Fort Smith, Alma, and Conway before moving to Fayetteville. I love reading, puzzles, attending live theater performances and spending time with my family.
Administrative Assistant
Tricia Stuber
I have worked for SUMC for almost 10 years. I graduated from Indiana Business College as Valedictorian with an Associate's Degree in Accounting. I've been married to my husband Mark for over 30 years and we have two beautiful children together. In my free time I love reading, watching sports, and going on walks.
Children's Ministry
Carla Anderson
I earned my Bachelor's in Education at the U of A where I also met my husband, Mike. We were married in 1992, raised four children, and moved many times during the 26 years that Mike served in the US Army. We are avid Razorback fans! I enjoy many hobbies, such as cooking, crocheting, gardening, reading, and crafting, but I am a master of none. My latest hobby is being Lala to my three, and hopefully counting, grandchildren. I am a lover of many music genres, all things Christmas, and am a ‘sappy movie’ fanatic.
Music Director
Tim Cox
I am a retired public school music teacher of 21 years and have been a church musician for 50 years. I've been at SUMC for over 20 years. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Education from Missouri Southern State University and a Master's from the University of Arkansas. My wife Martha and I have three sons together. I also currently play with the Saxophonics.

Mark Smidt
I have served as pianist and organist at SUMC for over 20 years. I received a Bachelor’s in Music from John Brown University and a Master's of Music from the U of A. I filled a collaborative pianist position at the U of A before serving as Program Director and Piano Instructor at the university’s Suzuki Music School. I also established a private piano teaching studio where I was able to gain a reputation for producing award-winning students over the last two decades. I am an avid reader and enjoy gardening, biking, cooking, and traveling in my free time.

Anna Gentry
I have been part of SUMC since I was in Middle School and earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Communication from the University of Arkansas. Alongside my work with our amazing youth group, I serve as the Camp and Programs Manager at Mount Sequoyah. During my free time, I enjoy teaching dance at Diamond Dance Studio in Farmington. I love getting to be a part of this church family and sharing my love of the Lord with the youth!
