Online Connection

Disciplines 2020 - Thursdays at 1:00 PM

Join Pastor Sara and others at Sequoyah in an online bible study using the Disciplines 2020 devotional guide. Each week we will read the four Scriptures assigned and the week's devotional material before class and then discuss them when we meet together. Below are the links for the Disciplines book. We will begin this class on Zoom on April 2 at 1pm. Please email Pastor Sara at pastor@squmc.org if you would like to join and we will send you the Zoom login information. You can find the book on Amazon using the links below.

The New Testament in Its World - 2 Different Sessions

Pastor Sara's new study, The New Testament in Its World occurs on Wednesdays  at 2:30pm and Thursdays at 10:30am. This study looks at all the New Testament books in their historical, literary, and social contexts, located in the world of Second Temple Judaism, amidst Greco-Roman politics and culture, and within early Christianity. Both the Wednesday and Thursday sessions will study the same lesson each week and you are welcome to join either of them. They all share the same Zoom meeting ID, which will be the same for every session throughout the study. Email pastor@squmc.org for link.

The Upper Room Devotional Class - Wednesdays at 10 AM

We are launching a class on Zoom that will discuss the The Upper Room Daily Devotions. This class is open and fluid, led by Donna Huie, and is open for anyone to join. The class meets on Wednesdays at 10 AM via zoom. You can email the church office to receive the Zoom information, or reach out to Donna Huie.

Adultish Bible Study - Meeting Sundays at 4:00 PM

For those still figuring adulthood out and needing a place to connect, our misfit group meets on Sundays at 4pm. Join in to build a deeper relationship with Christ and each other in a group that feels just right. Expect an email to join the Zoom call. If you would like to connect with this Bible Study please email sequoyahstudents@gmail.com.

ONline Prayer call

Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:15 AM

Join a prayer call over zoom and share any joys or concerns that you may have. It is a joyful practice to be in prayer together as a church, and while we may not be able to meet in person, we can still lift each other in prayer together. Join the meeting on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:15, email the church if you need the link for the call.

SUMC Kidmin ONLINE

Hello Kidmin Families! What a crazy time we are living in, but remember, when life is scary~ God is good. I am working on some things to keep us entertained and connected throughout this time. First is our Facebook page, SUMC Kidmin. If you haven’t been invited to the page, look us up and shoot us a request. I will be posting lots of updates, activities and other opportunities for us to do to keep connected. Be on the lookout for things like a scavenger hunt, Where is Mrs. Carla, A kit for adventures with ‘Flat Jesus’, some Facebook live videos and lessons, as well as other fun activities. In the meantime, stay safeand keep washing those hands! (Sing Jesus loves me while doing so and sing it loud and proud because He does!) I am thinking and praying for you all, and miss you bunches!

Sequoyah Students

Sequoyah Students ONLINE

Wow! This is a new experience for all of us! One of my primary goals for this period of isolation is to ensure that our youth are able to maintain some social interaction, with the positive influx of worship and fellowship, and honestly to just have some FUN! This may be a stressful time for some, but connecting with other students going through the same thing will be one of the best things. I am encouraging you to encourage your students to participate in this new kind of youth ministry! Emails and texts have gone out to all of our youth and family. If you haven't received them, please let me know at sequoyahstudents@gmail.com.I will keep you informed as we move forward, but please do not hesitate to reach out should any concerns arise. Also, if you have not followed our page on Facebook or Instagram, I post many updates there, just search for @sequoyahstudents. Praying for all during this time!

Love, Jules
